The Arizona Repertory Singers' Goin' Up to Glory
Goin' Up to Glory is a tribute to the songs that defined American music as the country grew in its first hundred years. The CD captures the essence of colonial America with songs like Simple Gifts and Dixie. Spirituals are an integral part of early American music as well, captured by Hold On! and I want Jesus. The more modern era is represented by Stephen Foster. From the slow moving Shenandoah to the liveley Elijah Rock, there is something for evryone in Goin' Up to Glory.
