A live Christmas concert - Sing We Now of Christmas

The Arizona Repertory Singers' third Christmas CD is another eclectic collection of Christmas music. Sing We Now of Christmas was recorded in live Concert at the Benedictine Sanctuary in Tucson, Arizona on December 9 and 10, 2004. In addition to being a beautiful setting, the acoustic environment complements both Renaissance and contemporary melodies. No Christmas music collection would be complete without a few familar carols, and the first selectionJoy to the World is as familiar as Christmas itself. A new setting of the popular Away in a Manger is delightfully familiar. Spanish carols include Ne Timeas Maria and Pastores a Belen. Up-tempo selections like Nova! Nova! and Rock Him in a Manger are balanced with slower tempo selections with full sustained chords from O Magnum Mysterium and the perennial favorite of both the singers and audiences, Franz Biebl's Ave Maria. Re-live this well-attended Arizona Repertory Singers concert year after year with Sing We Now of Christmas. The full playlist is at the bottom of this page.
